LANCE E. CRAPPELL, CPA, CGMA

 

Lance has been working in the accounting profession since 1990 and has been certified since 1993. He has worked in the private sector as well as in public accounting. His years of experience have provided him with an extensive knowledge base in designing and implementing systems and controls, financial statement audits and small business consulting. Lance's experience also includes mergers, acquisitions and sales of closely held companies; construction contract accounting and taxation; corporate and individual taxation; estate planning; representation of clients before the Internal Revenue Service; and management consulting, including "controllership by the hour" services. Lance has a wealth of experience with clients in specialized and regulated industries such as governments, co-operatives, not-for-profits, as-well-as engagements subject to FERC, ERISA and HUD guidelines just to name a few. Lance also conducts peer review services for other CPA firms. Lance's objective is to cater his services to his clients' needs, thus providing them with the tools and advice necessary to be successful and profitable in today's dynamic business environment.

Lance is a graduate of the University of Southwestern Louisiana (currently the University of Louisiana at Lafayette). He is a member of the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and National Society of Accountants for Co-operatives. He is a Past President of the Acadiana Chapter of the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants, past board member of the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants, serves on the Peer Review Committee of the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants and is a member of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Accounting Advisory Board.

Outside of his accounting practice, Lance enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, golfing, hiking and cycling. Lance is also involved in several local professional and civic organizations and functions including Ducks Unlimited and One Acadiana.
