RICK STUTES, CPA, CVA/ABV, APA
With more than 42+ years of experience providing business consulting, tax and litigation support services in the Lafayette area, Rick is versed in aspects of accounting services including business consulting, management advisory, controllership services and related tax planning. His diverse background stems from servicing a variety of business in various industries including oil & gas exploration and related services, professional services firms, retail and wholesale distribution, banking and real estate.
Rick became certified in Public Accounting in 1981 and is also a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) performing litigation support and business valuations utilizing these skills to assist business clients with their growth and planning strategies. His experience includes merger and acquisition services including assisting clients with selling their business or due diligence reviews of potential business purchases. In addition he is involved in litigation forensics services and court appointed positions concerning financial matters. Rick has achieved business valuation credentials (CVA/ABV) and forensic credentials (CFF/MAFF) and is a part-time adjunct professor at the University of La-Lafayette teaching Forensic accounting. Rick also has achieved an Accredited Petroleum Accountant (APA) professional designation specific to the oil & gas industry and is a member of COPAS (Council of Petroleum Accountants Societies).
Outside of his accounting practice Rick enjoys spending time with his family, gardening and outdoor activities.
